ASTERISCUS (Odontospermum) maritimus ‘Gold Coin’. Mediterranean area. A mounding, semishrubby daisy, useful for the low border. It grows 6-12" tall and has densely clustered stems with grey green leaves. Bright yellow 2" flower heads are borne at the shoot tips in spring and summer. The spent flowers should be sheared off, both to improve the appearance of the plants and to promote further waves of bloom. Sun or light shade, reasonably well drained soil, moderate watering. Probably hardy to 15oF or less.
