AUBRIETA
deltoidea. Common aubrieta. Southern Europe, Iran. A tidy, matting perennial
for the rock garden. It has tightly packed greyish green leaves, covered in
spring by clusters of small 4-petalled flowers of white to deep red or purple.
Various color selections will be available from time to time, the best of them
from the garden of Roy Oliphant. Sun, reasonably well drained soil, moderate
to little watering when established. Hardy to below 0oF.
