BOLAX
glebaria. Chile. It is hard to picture this matting perennial as a member
of the carrot family, but so it is. The plant flows over rocks and hummocks,
spreading several feet in time.It has closely packed rosettes of shiny, narrowly
3-parted leaves, pressed against the ground. Clusters of tiny yellow flowers
rise just above the foliage in summer. An attractive rock garden perennial and
small-scale ground cover for sun or light shade near the coast, part shade inland.
It evidently thrives in most soils, with moderate to regular watering. Hardy
to 15oF
or less.
