GAURA lindheimeri. South-central States. One of the most elegant, and certainly among the toughest, of the evening primrose alliance. It is a many-stemmed perennial, the stems held quite erect and growing up to 5’ tall. They are lined below with narrow bluish green leaves and branched above into long flowering wands. Narrow-petalled white blossoms, 1" broad, open in succession throughout the summer months from light pink buds. The recent listing, ‘Summer Clouds’, is our response to a request to name and thus distinguish the old Wintergreen selection, which is particularly bushy and floriferous. ‘Siskiyou Pink’ is a lower growing cultivar with heavily red-tinged leaves and medium to deep pink flowers. Sun, most (even very poor) soils, moderate to no supplemental watering. Hardy to below 0oF.
