PAROCHETUS communis. Shamrock pea. Himalayan region, East Africa. An attractive carpet-forming perennial with slender stems and bright green clover-like leaves. Small bright blue pea flowers grace the plant much of the year, most heavily in fall and spring. Nearly deciduous in winter. Sun or light shade, most soils, regular watering. Hardy at least to 15oF.
