BIDENS triplinervia var. macrantha (B. humilis). Mexico to South America. A potentially gigantic perennial daisy giving dazzling floral displays in fall. I have seen it as large as 4' high and 15' broad; our current material is more prostrate but still widely spreading. Dark green, narrowly parted leaves closely line the stems. Bright golden yellow flower heads are carried above the foliage on slender stalks in fall. Sun, most soils, moderate to regular watering. Ultimately hardy to around 20oF.
