COTULA Silver Mound. Probably New Zealand. This is a beautiful matting perennial, strongly resembling one of the smaller artemisias. It has closely branched, prostrate stems, lined with dissected, silvery 1" leaves. During the warmer months it displays button-like flower heads, about 1/3" broad and bright yellow in color, on wiry stems above the foliage. A small treasure for banks, borders and larger rock gardens. Sun, reasonably well drained soil, moderate watering. Probably hardy to 10oF or less.
