CROWEA exalata. Southeastern Australia. One of our recent Aussie treasures from the U.C. Santa Cruz Arboretum, this is a most ornamental small shrub (around 3’) allied to Boronia. It has slender, arching stems lined with narrow, dark green 1-2" leaves. This unnamed selection seems to bloom nearly year-round in our climate, with starlike 1" blossoms, rose pink in color. I am still uncertain of its hardiness (assume 20-25o), but it is described as quite easy to grow. Sun or light shade, well drained soil, moderate watering.
