TECOMANTHE speciosa. New Zealand. A thick stemmed member of the trumpet vine family, growing with support to 20-30' high. The leaves can be 1' or more long, with large, deep green leaflets which have a lacquered surface. The flowers are modest for a trumpet vine, though borne in broad, dense clusters. They are a little over an inch long, tubular with a 2-lipped face, and creamy white in color. Sun or light shade near the coast, part shade elsewhere, rich, deep soil, regular watering. Probably hardy to 20-25oF.
