Hybrid sage was selected in Arizona, but most probably includes California species in its parentage. Whorls of bright deep blue flowers are carried on willowy stems over chalky grey leaves. This shrub stays dense and is less likely to overwhelm its neighbors than the more familiar S. clevelandii hybrids. Its parentage most likely includes S. clevelandii and S. dorrii and ?? Spring and summer bloom. Sun, well drained soil, occasional watering.
