Selected by Ken Montgomery from a seedling batch started at the L.A. State and County Arboretum, this is a broadly mounding shrub, up to 3 feet high and 8 feet broad. The stems are crowded with broad inch and a half greyish green leaves. In spring, bright mauve flowers nestle among the leaves.
