Large leaves are dark reddish purple on this dahlia selection; single flowers are a luminous soft salmon orange and are abundant in summer and fall. Reaching 5-6 feet in height, these plants do not need staking. Of easy culture but will grow and bloom best in a sunny site with rich, reasonably well drained soil and regular watering while in growth and bloom. Root-hardy despite freezes of 15 degrees F or less, though fairly tender above ground.
