The Jelly Beans Mimulus hybrids are a series of selections made over a 20 year span by Richard Persoff. His goal is to select "bomb proof" plants--monkeyflowers that are less sticky, less brittle, and that tolerate moderate water without losing any of their drought tolerant traits. From many thousands of seedlings, he has selected shapely plants with flowers in vibrant colors that also are low care, garden tolerant shrubs. 'Jelly Beans Tangerine' displays flowers of a saturated tangerine color set among fresh green leaves. Grow in sun to light shade; moderate water and pruning will encourage repeat bloom. Hardy to 20-25 degrees.
